Candle Use & Care

Candle Tip #1:

Make sure the candle’s wick is 1/8th of an inch from the wax before lighting the candle. A wick that is too long will cause soot to build around the rim of the jar regardless of the wax type.

Candle tip #2:

Cold candles burn slower. to cool your candles, wrap them in foil and cool in the refrigerator for about an hour before lighting.

candle tip #3:

Burn candles away from extreme heat and cold conditions. candles should be burned in low to no draft environments. If the candle light flickers or moves in any direction other than straight up, more than likely there’s a draft in the room.

candle tip #4:

To preserve the life of your candle and get the most out of your candle’s scents, do not burn candles for more than 4 hours.

candle tip #5:

a candle snuffer or wick dipper is recommended to extinguish a candle’s flame.

When blowing a candle out, place your index finger in front of the flame and blow, allowing the air to surround the flame and avoid hot wax from splattering.

candle tip #6:

If you have a wax spill, for most spills either allow wax to harden (you can use an ice cube to speed up this process) or use a hair dryer to melt down the wax then use an absorbent cloth or hot soapy water (or a solution of 1/2 water 1/2 distilled vinegar) to wipe down the spill area.

If you spill wax on carpet or fabric, place a hot iron over paper towel in the area. the heat from the iron will melt the wax and it will be absorbed in the paper towel.

Candle tip #7:

if soot forms around the rim of the jar, extinguish the flame and allow the candle to cool. Wipe soot clean with a damp cloth, trim the wick and relight the candle.

candle tip #8

Keep all lit candles out of reach of children and pets. never leave a burning candle unattended. for added safety and protection of your home furnishings, place candles on coasters or plates.

room spray tip #6:

you can reuse your wax melts until the scent has faded.

room spray tip #7:

Once you are finished using your melt or the scent has faded, you can either wait until your wax has cooled and you can either scrape the wax from your warmer, or turn it off and while it is still in liquid form, place a paper towel or cotton ball in the wax to soak it all up. Don’t discard your used wax down the sink/drain. To clean your warmer, you can refer to the instructions that came with your warmer. Make sure it is clean and dry before using a new wax melt.

Reed diffuser use & care

diffuser tip #1:

Reed diffusers are flammable, keep out of reach of children and pets.

Diffuser tip #2:

Tribal Nyc’s Reed diffusers last approximately 4-5 months. for a strong scent, turn reeds daily. for a subtle scent, turn reeds less often.

diffuser tip #3:

Place Reeds in Oil and allow them to sit for one hour. you should start to notice the reeds absorb the oil by the end of the hour. Do Not Place diffuser on polished or painted surfaces.

Diffuser tip #4:

if your reed diffuser is close to a fan, air conditioner or open window, it will allow the reeds to soak up the oil faster, creating a sooner release of fragrance.

safety Matches Use & Care

Safety Matches tip #1:

Grasp the match firmly at its midpoint with your index finger and thumb. Place the match head onto the striker located at the bottom of the jar and confidently apply swift and firm outward pressure. Once the flame is out, flip the match over and place it back into the jar.

Safety Matches tip #2:

For optimal strikability, store matches away from humidity.
